The increase in sexual wellness stores throughout China is bringing pleasure to many women, both physically and intellectually. By having adult stores in more locations, pleasure products, particularly those designed for women, are being destigmatized. Women who use them are feeling less shame. One customer said that the increase in adult shops “normalised conversations around women’s sexuality, gender equality and sexual health in China.” ABC News
