Online Safety Seminars for Eros Members

Industry Compliance with the DIS Code is required by 9 March 2026

Important – Online Seminars for Eros Members

Online Safety DIS Code Class 1C and Class 2 Material

Recently emails were sent to Eros member business owners and managers about the requirements of the DIS Code. This included DIS Guidelines for Eros Members and documents with information about how to conduct and document website risk assessments and related DIS Code compliance measures.

Eros has already started running online seminars about the Online Safety Designated Internet Services (DIS) Code. These seminars are running throughout February and March to provide information about what compliance measures need to be in place for providers of adult-oriented websites. The seminars are for Eros members only.

The Designated Internet Services (DIS) Code is the online safety industry code for websites. It regulates:

  • Class 2 Material including legal online content that would be classified as X18+, R18+, Category 1 or Category 2 under the National Classification Code.
  • Class 1C Material (illegal sexually explicit online content that would be Refused Classification RC).

Use this link to the DIS Online Safety Code (Class 1C and Class 2 Material).

Industry compliance with the DIS Code is required no later than 9 March 2026.

If you are an Eros member and haven’t received our emails containing Eros’ DIS Guidelines and online seminar details, please email me at manager@eros.org.au . Graeme Dunne, General Manager, Eros Association
